JAG: Crossing the Line

Airdate: January 31, 1997.

After a crossing-the-line "ceremony" on board the USS Seahawk, naval aviator Lt. Marilyn Isaaks charges the CAG, Capt. Thomas Boone, with sexual harassment. Harm and Mac are sent immediately to investigate. Also on the scene is Congresswoman DeLong (Dee Wallace Stone), a severe critic of the Navy, who is on a mission to make sure that women get equal opportunity in the military. The Congresswoman forces the Navy brass to put Isaaks back on flight status, despite the CAG's insistence that she was an "accident waiting to happen".
The "line" is the equator. Crossing-the-line fun and games usually take place shortly after the ship crosses the equator and are initiation rituals presided over by a sailor in the role of Neptune, the sea god.
