Harm's half-brother Sergei is reported missing in action, MIA just like their father was. When Harm's request for leave to go to Chechnya to look for Sergei is denied by Chegwidden, he resigns his commission.
Meanwhile, Bud single-mindedly goes after Harriet's doctor in search of justice for their dead child, and in the ensuing court battle, Harriet is forced to reveal an old secret.
